SJS staged 3-in-1: A Musical Recital last May 29, 2018 as the final examinations of the seminarians in music. It was a showcase of the musical talents and the musical skills obtained by the seminarians during the school year. It featured all the grade levels of the seminary interpreting songs in different genres: religious, classical, popular and folk. It also featured the original compositions and choral arrangements of the seminarians. It was also the debut of the Chorus Josephi, a newly-formed chamber choir of SJS.
The seminary holds musical training essential to formation because it engages the whole person: the body, the mind, the heart and soul. It instills in each seminarian the value of discipline and harwdork. Indeed, training in the right kind of music is essential in the formation of character and conscience. photos by: Marisa Galinato Trinidad
