SJS prevails at the 38th Hearts on Fire: Abra Gospel Festival

SJS wins big at the 38th Hearts on Fire: Abra Gospel Festival on February 9, 2019 held at the Divine Word College of Bangued Gymnasium.

SJS's entry entitled "Facing my Goliaths" won First Runner Up in the Poster Making Competition. It was a collaboration of insights and talents by Anthony Dupingay, Christian Barbero, Ian Ferdimar Balmaceda, Theodore John Valera and Engelbert Quiday.. 

The Chorus Josephi is the back-to-back Champion for the Original Gospel Song-Writing Competition. They interpreted "Napatpategka ngem Sallapingaw" (You are worth more than sparrows) composed by Mark Louie V. Martes, arranged for TTBB Ensemble by Martin John Arellano and orchestrated by Jeddi Cris Celeste.

This year's Bible Quiz Bee Team ended the five-year drought of the seminary's bid for the top rank. They bested 54 contenders from all over the province. They were awarded Champion for the High School Category and the Over-all Champion of the Bible Quiz Bee. Quiz Bee participants were Michael Angelo Borillo (G11), Nil Justeen Garcia (G10), Nikolai Demosthenes Cariño (G9), Gene Gabriel Ablaza (G9), and Aron Jericho Cantil (G8). 

SJS was proclaimed Over-all First Runner-Up.
